Qualifications and Experience

I am a fully qualified and UKCP registered psychotherapist (see UK Council for Psychotherapy link) with more than 20 years of experience. I am also a professional member of the Association of Core Process Psychotherapists (see ACPP link)

My qualifications include first degrees in Psychology and Dramatherapy and a postgraduate M.A. in Mindfulness-based Psychotherapy. Recently, I completed my Doctor of Clinical Practice (Research) with the University of Exeter. My research thesis was an in-depth study of embodied experiences of therapeutic change as recounted by psychotherapists and therapy clients. Phenomenology, Buddhist philosophy, mindfulness and psychoanalytic concepts were employed to map out the corporeal experience of intersubjectivity in critical moments of therapeutic change.

Currently I have a busy private practice in London. I am also a qualified clinical supervisor for individuals and groups. I offer Mindfulness-Based Supervision.

Before qualifying as a psychotherapist, I worked as a volunteer telephone counsellor with NGOs providing information on sexual health and HIV-related matters. I worked on the NHS as a psychotherapist from 2011 to 2017. I was also a Trainer in the M.A. Core Process Psychotherapeutic Practice programme at the Karuna Institute in Devon from 2008 to 2012.
